Daniel Voshart is a cinematographer and designer holding a Masters of Architecture (MArch) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA). As a cinematographer, his films have garnered a Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance and nominations for two Genie Awards (the precursor to the Canadian Screen Awards).
His MArch thesis, on the application of virtual reality to architecture, led to his role as the dedicated VR Specialist at Linebox Studio, where he developed virtual reality walkthroughs for the firm’s residential and commercial projects.
In 2018, he joined the Star Trek Art Department. Over seven years, his role evolved from VR Specialist to Set Designer (DGC) with a focus on Virtual Production.
Shaped by his Dutch and Métis (non-MNC/MMF) cultural backgrounds, Daniel lives in Toronto.
